International online conference HOPE from April 4th to 6th 2022.
The international theatre network PlayOn! is organizing the HOPE conference for the second year in a row. The working title for this year’s conference is – “Immersive theatre in expanded spaces”
The two and a half days of conference will give participants the opportunity to listen to more that 20 experts on how new technologies can expand the experience for both creators and audiences. Virtual and augmented reality, tracking technology, robots, binaural audio, apps and the Metaverse provide the theatre scene with a plethora of new opportunities to be more inclusive and for theatre to make its way out of the halls. The theatre of the future is a democratic one, where the audience has a lot more freedom to roam and to be part of the story and its development.

PlayOn! is an international theatre project supported by the European Commission, bringing together 9 European theatres along with several universities and creative institutions.
